Art-Stream.net Origin

The ideas behind art and technology started in 1985 when River got hold of an Amiga computer. A basic tool on that particular computer was event sequencing programs. In fact, it was used by Disney World and other theme park companies. River's digitalization of art started then.

Alongside of the computer, River was also working with musical electronic sequencing keyboards and modules. MIDI was the language used. Both synthesizers and samplers were governed by this language. Synthesized music and visual art are both wholly created in the computer. Sampled music and visual art are both taken from real events. For sound, microphones capture the sample. For visual art, cameras capture the sample. These samples are digitized and located in digital libraries.

Many years later 2019 the Internet languages and delivery systems became capable of this type of sequencing. Now with internet browsable smart TVs, big picture sequenced art programs from https://art-stream.net/ are in living rooms everywhere. That's the tech part. The art also went through a migration. River’s last series of art works, are called Chakra. They began in 2013. These works were based on the visual symbolism of chakra energy and meditation. This informed his recent collaborations with Albert Isner, Gitchie Shanti, Marsha Kallias, Zola Pliest, Nina Turner, and Louise Makum. The resulting motion art installations are a new art form available world-wide.

More about River's path.

Mind, body, spirit - In-depth information available for self-awareness members.
While a teenager, River discovered kundalini yoga. This was the foundation of mind body spirit discoveries.

The Body
Starting with Greco Roman wrestling in high school, River knew he needed a dynamic gravity and movement based form. This was Judo. Balance, counter balance and throwing defined this art. As combat became an issue, the new form was Karate. This involved learning how move and to strike. The following forms augmenting this learning were Taekwondo, Kung Fu, Tai chi, and Qigong. On an abstract level River saw all of these as sacred dance.

The Mind
Also in his teenage years, moved by Einstein’s theories of world view, Freud and Jung’s ideas of self, River studied Mesmer, Josie Silva, Gurdjieff. Ospinski, quantum mechanics, esoteric literature, and Shamanism.

The Spirit
At the age of 12, River experienced “the call”. Impressed by the connecting of art and shaminism by Andreas Lomel, River accepted art history and spirituality as a single river and family tree.

What does it mean to awaken?

What does it mean to be more yourself?
